Yesterday while running around/working in D.C. I ran into one of my favorite buildings the Old Executive Office Building now known as the Eisenhower Executive Office Building. It's going under some serious renovations right now. I've done work in the Indian Treaty Room. It's so fantastic in there -- bad acoustics since it's completely tiled, but it's so beautiful.
The place used to house the VP and lots of executives for the Administration. I worked a Presidential something-or-the-other on arts in there when Bill and Al were in Da House. I'm not sure if the current Administration is housing anybody in there at this time due to all of that work being done.
It's a great building and I'm glad they're fixing it up and uncovering some old architecturally interesting tidbits.
