First of all it's 5:30 in the morning, post-Holiday weekend. It's raining and I pray to God I do not need to drive anywhere today. School starts out this way and people around here can't drive in the rain. D.C. Traffic = Hell on Earth.
So the Labor Day Holiday was very nice. We did clear out some clutter, but why does it always have to look worse while you're slogging through the mess? There should be pictures here but they would be too damning.
I have yet to start painting, but that's only because I underestimated the pre-painting chaos. We've managed to pick out the colors and are wall prepping. Part of that wall prepping is moving a couple of bookcases that haven't been moved in years.
Da Man has progressed on his pile of ancient textbooks, 20 year old Car and Driver magazines, out-dated user manuals. Does anybody need a 158 page manual on how to work your three buttoned Logitech Serial Mouse/Bus Mouse/Series-2 Mouse circa 1988? It's very informative..."Position the mouse with the cable pointing away from you." Ohhh, that's what I've been doing wrong.
The living room looks like someone is having a book drive. There is nothing like stubbing your toe on an old Calculus textbook first thing in the morning.
So needless to say the knitting has been minimal this weekend. However, I did get to meet the cute little kittens, Mike and Ike, who will be the recipients of my current WIP - Kitty Pi.2.
