Steriogram (sic) is an all right band out of New Zealand and they have a crazy video for their song "Walkie-Talkie Man". It should really make all of the yarnheads out there happy. Being that these folks are from New Zealand it doesn't totally shock me that their set is constructed from yarn and knitted pieces. This song has been out for awhile (2004-ish) and the video used to run a lot on FUSE. You can check the video out here on You Tube.
Okay, back to my little world:
So I've got to spend the Labor Day weekend painting. I mean, I don't have to but I need to. Last weekend we spent about four hours in Crate and Barrel sitting on every stinking couch they had and decided on one couch and two nifty Decor chairs. Since the house is only 20x40, we don't need lots of furniture but a few quality pieces will totally work. A couch and love seat would be nice, but there would be no place to walk in the living room if we had them both.
And it will be fun to paint with four cats running around. By the end of the day how many cat butts will have paint on them? Hmm. Heathens I tell you! Heathens.
So this rain is supposed to have ceased by Sunday so I hope it will be a good day to start priming and filling in some icky bits. Since the furniture isn't coming for three weeks and some wonderful friends are coming over Saturday to remove some old pieces and the room will be empty, we could work on the floors too.
Most of the floors in this house are oak and the rug in the living room is crap and covering up the oak. So do I want to add finishing a wooden floor to the list of things to do. I mean the house won't look so beat up if we do it, but I don't want to screw it up. I mean if we lift the rug and the floor is gross what do we do? Get new carpet? Hmmm.
Well, I'm off to the grocery store in case Noah comes floating by. I actually just need to get something for dinner and more coffee. If we lose power our coffee grinder isn't going to work and the whole bean stock is only his espresso. What can I say? It's the small, important details that I think about.
Enjoy your weekend!
