Yeah, another 15 pound lasagna. I'm sure it's genetic (my mom is one of 14). I know how to cook for an army, but we're only an army of two here at Chez SpinWeaveKnitandCake.
So lasagna anyone? I'm sure we will have leftovers well into December. I guess this is the reason I only make it once a year. Mmmm, layered goodness. (Yes, I make my own sauce.)
.
Some leftover Halloween eye candy:
Spidey in a tree, k-i-s-s-i-n-g...no wait, he was supposed to be scary with his blinky eyes and all.
Can I just say that I love me those glow stix - I had the front bejeweled in them. I gave them away at the end of the night to some rowdy teens roaming in the dark, all of the the boys were dressed in all black and masks and the girls looked like hookers, I mean the Pussycat Dolls. So I figured they would best benefit by the darn things, you know, since I voted them most likely to be Hood Ornaments by the end of the evening.
Finally, meet my Variegated Rayon Chenille that I picked up at Rhinebeck...
If you were weaving this what would you do??? Plain weave, twill?? Which solid color would you use to correspond with it? Brown, blue, purple or green??? Ack!!!! I don't know if I should fish or cut bait !!
No wait, now finally...the furnace man is coming this afternoon. We don't know what time, but it will be in "the afternoon". We have heat in the basement but not upstairs. I'm not freezing yet because the basement zone is still efficient -- for now and I keep waking up overheated with four cats piled on top of me. Who needs heat?? I've got felines. Thank god we don't have a dog too. I woke up this morning hanging onto the edge of the bed, fighting for every inch of space that I got.
A side note:
Major household items that have gone caput/are going caput:
Furnace
Washing Machine (sits in it's own oil but still works for now)
Server (last night, but is back up -- Mr. Man keeps extra power supplies around the house)
15 pounds?! That is a HUGE lasagna! I don't think I've ever cooked 15 pounds of anything before!

Just saying HI! I didn't take pictures of our decorations. I played spooky music and blinded people with a strobe light! Love you... I have a pumpkin pie in the oven, and the dog is digging to China.
