I'm definitely in a weird mood. I've been wondering what it would be like to spin and weave the fiber from a Woolly Mammoth.

I'm also in a baking mood. I'm trying to get back my baking mojo after basically melting a blueberry pie on Saturday. Butter crusts are tricky and when they say chill that puppy, one should really chill it. Also, I remembered to line the cookie sheet underneath the pie with foil for today's attempt.
Today's pie is a four berry pie. It's got blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, and strawberries (Frozen, of course, I'm not into making a $40 fruit pie.). It had better not melt like Saturday's pie. Halfway through baking it I was using tongs to pick up the pieces of fallen crust. It was so ugly, but at least it still tasted good, even if it was a tad on the "rustic" side.
So once it's out of the oven I will post the end result. Keep your fingers crossed that the pie carnage has ended. I do not want to open the oven door and see a pie pan swimming in a pool of sugary, berry goop. Granted that goop goes really well in one's oatmeal.
Ta-Daaaaa!
No berry carnage here! Memo to self: Remember to ALWAYS chill the crust before baking.
Yum! And, I would think that the hard part would be, apart from extinction, getting the fleece from a mammoth... ahem.

Yeah I was curious about how one would go about shearing one of those things! :)
