Okay so my man HATES to clean the gutters. I don't do it, because well, I don't climb ladders. I did it once for my man and by cleaning the gutters I mean I paid some Handyman-dude to do it. Yep. Ever since then Mr. Man cleans the gutters once every so often.
In fact, I kind of like when he waits because it produces some great compost up there. Yep, it's like black gold I tells ya.
So anyway, to make a long story quick we looked into the Roomba to sort of keep the dust bunnies and cat hair tumbleweeds down. In fact, Mr. Man came home from Costco last weekend with a Roomba 550 (the 550 is only sold at Costco and is basically the 560) in his hands. I love that thing. The cats even put up with it better than the regular vacuum. And!!! It gets under the couch without having to move it. How great is that??
Anyway back to the gutters. Before My Love makes any purchases he has to investigate the product, look at reviews, compare and contrast, think and fester. So while at the iRobot website he stumbled quite accidentally across the Looj. I laughed and laughed and laughed, but do you know what? It really works!
It will work even faster if you don't have compost brewing in your gutters, but hey, whatever. My Love is actually enjoying the dangerous and tedious task now. You climb the ladder and set that puppy in there (or dig a hole in the gutter dirt in our case) and set it free. It runs down the length of your gutter throwing out the debris as the little propeller flips around and with the handy-dandy remote you can reverse it back and forth when it gets stuck in the quagmire of decaying nuts and leaves.
I think this would make a fantastic gift for the gutter cleaner in your family. If you think you want to purchase the Looj, check this out first to make sure it fits.
