This is quite possibly the last rose of the year.
Finally an orange pumpkin. Oh, and the powdery mildew that has recently emerged.
Another recent emergence has been brown stink bugs on my beans. I've killed three this morning and then realized I should have taken a picture before I smooshed the bejeebers out of them. I've only noticed them this week and I have no idea why they are here since my garden goodies are dying off. Oh, well.
The house is currently under the seasonal attack of bombing acorns and fat rodents. Green acorns are plummeting to the earth at high rates of speed from the very tall oaks out back and the fat, bird feeder destroying, garden digging gray squirrels are busily using the roof as a highway to collect the yummy acorn snacks.
Mmmm, acorns. Where, oh, where will you sprout next year? Stupid squirrels.
I'm sure a great oak tree will be sprouting from my raised garden beds in the spring.
I did try to get a picture of the furry beasties but it seems as though they have high-tailed it out of the yard at the moment due to an impending storm, which is just fine. It gave me a chance to refill the bird feeder and it doesn't sound like the roof is going to cave in at the moment.
Squirrels - heh. Cheeky little devils. :)

Hey! Great looking pumpkin there! And we all have to deal with the silly squirrels. Just hope that they don't spy your pumpkin because they do love pumpkin seeds. Or maybe that was the raccoons that got ours a few years ago.
